shakespeare on the lawn

3 old dudes put on a 97 min show of the complete works of shakespeare... abridged. it was a hilarious mockery of all the plays. despite the crazy winds that almost blew some of the costumes off the roof, it was great fun! there were raps and improv and a screaming lady from the audience, lots to digest in a mere hour and a half!

it was alison's birthday and we went for a real treat at La Belle Vie, a fantastic french restaurant that is well worth the premium prices! i would have written the names of the different courses if i could actually pronounce half of them. nevertheless, the food was incredible and we had way too much wine... =)

the day was hot, but it felt really good to be in the sun again. we hiked around the hills of the ski resort for about 2.5 hours. it was great! 

It's finally summer!

The winter months were long and after our romp around South East Asia, we dreaded it even more. Looking back, it was sort of a blur, our time was packed with either school work or traveling for work. But since Alison will be done with school here in the next week, things will be different! I'm looking forward to camping and being outdoors for the next few months. It's probably also time to revisit with old friends again. We are excited for bright and sunny days ahead!

trip home: singapore!

we left the cold weather on christmas eve and spent christmas day aboard the 747 pacific bird. we arrived at narita and was looking forward to some japanese food but no luck, we had to rush our butts to our gate. oh and of course we had the most polite and anal japanese security lady who placed each item delicately in each plastic bin.

the second leg was rough even with the loads of movies we brought on board. 30 rock, 88 minutes, the 6th day, face-off, trans-siberian... well, it was about time we landed and we did, after about 20 hours on the airplane.

zombie pub crawl, october 2008, minneapolis

the night of the living dead!  

even better than halloween, hundreds of zombified minnesotans gathered in minneapolis for a pub crawl like no other.  we saw zombies from the titanic, dead joe the plumber, abe lincoln, siamese twins and many more.  not only did the zombies take over the bars at seven corners, but invaded chipotle as well!  the streets of minneapolis were doused in fake blood and human brains as evidence of the massive zombie march.
