a little video treat for you! in case you didn't see this, howie and a couple of classmates put together this video for a contest about how MBAs can 'change the world'. he had a great idea for the intro, but of course needed my help :) so i made my first hand drawn stop motion video. congrats to howie and team for finding the time to put this together amidst their crazy workload. glad i could help and be a part of the fun. enjoy!

catching UP!

hoping to catch up on some posts this weekend! howie just finished a 48 hour "integrative exercise" (he slept only 2 hours in the last 48... not good!)  in a bit i'll wake him up and we will go out for a walk and some food, bring him back to normal life away from IMDland.

meanwhile, i was busy making a timeline of my entire life to bring to my session with the psychoanalyst this morning. did i tell you IMD is providing this for free to partners? (PDE- personal development elective) its a good opportunity to use this year to reflect on the past and present situations as well. i've been so busy the past few years, its nice to stop and think about where i've been and who i've been. the hope is that being more familiar with myself, more self-aware, will help me to grow this year and to leave the IMD year with excitement and energy for the future.

first day of school!

we both started school this week. Howie to the real thing, IMD MBA, me to the partner group! here is howie on his way out the door- day 1.

and here is me with the group of lovely ladies (and a few gents) that i'm starting to get to know.

finally feeling a bit busy, which is nice for a change.

Howie goes to school/We're moving!

its been a busy year, but lets skip right to the good stuff. Howie recently was accepted to IMD, a fantastic business school in Lausanne, Switzerland! which leads me to the second point, we're moving to Lausanne in January! i am super proud of my amazing husband, and we are so excited about the opportunity to begin our adventure together.

its so exciting that it makes it difficult to focus on my graduation, just a mere 34 days away. i keep thinking of all the craig's list posts this summer to sell cars, furniture, etc. it will be a lot of work, but the rewards will be greater than we can imagine.

so you might be wondering what i will be doing while Howie is busy at school 6 days/week. good question! i am starting to investigate different architectural research/work/travel opportunities and will update when i know more. one definite plan is to revive Hooks and Loops to document our great adventure and help us to stay connected with our friends and family.
